PROGRAMS > BSCIS > DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
Two majors are offered under the BSCIS degree:
- The CIS major is designed for students interested in following applied areas of computer and information science, or who wish to do extra study in a concentration area outside the area of computer and information science.
- The CSC major is designed for those students who want a stronger theoretical and quantitative emphasis or who are planning to pursue graduate study.
Admission Information To CIS Major:
In addition to the college of undergraduate studies requirements (Undergraduate Admissions), the student must satisfy the following requirements:
- A 2.0 grade point average, plus an average of 2.0 or better in MTH 181 and 182 (or)
- A 2.5 grade point average or better in MTH 151-156, plus an average of 2.5 or better in CIS 260 and CIS 265.

Admission Information To CSC Major:
In addition to the college of undergraduate studies requirements (Undergraduate Admissions) , the student must satisfy the following requirements:
- A 2.00 Grade Point Average, a grade of C (2.00) or better in MTH 181
- And a grade of C+ (2.30) or better in CIS 260.
